Enable spelling words in Gdict

Hi !

I'm using goldendict1.0.1 in ubuntu and i wanna see that is there any way to enable spelling words in goldendict just like babylon and other dictionary softwares?

my main window of golden dict has a speaker icon but it's not working! however audio settings is fully correct! :D

can anyone help me?

GoldenDict doesn't have text-to-speech in the way Babylon have it, that is, it doesn't read the words from the dictionaries and convert them into speech. The speaker icon is for dictionaries that contains the actual sound files for the definitions.
Personally, I prefer that way as I don't like the results of speech synthesizers.

Speech synthesis is now supported via 'Programs'. Just install festival or esound, and then check them in the 'Programs' tab.

Sorry, I forgot about the new programs tab. Is there something similar to Festival and Esound in Windows to use with GoldenDict?
