Upper/lowercase issue in online French Wikipedia

I was rather surprised the other day when pasting "GASTON BACHELARD" as the search item in GoldenDict just to find no results in online French Wikipedia. As there are generally no problems with French diacritics, let alone with upper/lowercase, I searched for "Gaston Bachelard" in mixed case, and there it was OK; not in lower case, though ("gaston bachelard").
In English Wikipedia, however, there was no such upper/lowercase problem.
Am I missing something? I only know that I have to stick to strict orthographic conventions ("é", "à", etc.) when writing criteria in "Find: box" at the bottom of the GD main window.
Thanks for taking your time.
Regards.
