Can't add StarDict (.dict, .idx) dictinaries in Ubuntu

Hi all,

I have just installed GoldenDict 1.0.1 on my Ubuntu 11.04, and I tried to add some dictionaries in Starict format (which means *.dict and *.idx files), and some dictionaries in MDict format (*.mdx), and none of them work. I told GoldenDict to look in folders where these files are located, and just nothing happens (and I clicked "Rescan" several times). No error message, nothing. I have no idea why it happens.

(A wish to developers: I'd like to have some GUI to add just a dictionary file, so I would expect an error message to show up when I did something wrong.)

Thanks in advance for your help!

PS. I just tried doing the same with GoldenDict started from the console; after clicking "Rescan" it just says "Load done.", nothing more.

Thanks, chulai!

It would be nice if GoldenDict would display this information in some message, though. Users would be grateful for such a feature :) In other words, well-designed applications shouldn't cause situations where user expects the program to do something, and the program does just nothing. User feels like "ahh, this must be broken". For me, it's like a bug.

(And maybe if I'll have some time, I'll fix it myself :))
