I use goldendict version 1.0.1 in fedora 17 x64. Goldendict dose not show phonetic (IPA) of searched word like Irony :\ˈī-rə-nē also ˈī(-ə)r-nē\ . Dose any body know how to enable this feature?.
further information:
I did enabled frovo pronounciation but I need to see IPA too.
I use longman,oxford and several other dictionary but none of the show IPA phonetic.

Phonetic transcription depends on the dictionary, some have it, some don't.
Any of these dictionaries show such info:
American Heritage Dictionary 4th Ed.
Cambridge Advanced Learners Dictionary 3th Ed.
Collins COBUILD 5
Longman DOCE 5th Ed.
Macmillan English Dictionary
Merriam-Webster's Advanced Learner's Dictionary
Merriam-Webster's Collegiate 11
Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary 8th Ed.
