Multiple GoldenDict Profiles

Postby pesgd » Wed Dec 19, 2012 11:27 pm

Hi,

I want to create two separate profiles for GoldenDict: one that should be quality-oriented, with a small database including only my essential dictionaries; and in the other profile I would include all the dictionaries I have, being a large, constantly changing, and probably slow database.

I´m trying to figure it out.

GoldenDict has three configurable paths:

A - The main folder, where Goldendict.exe is located;
B - The folder where the dictionaries are located; and
C - C:\Users\Me\Application Data\GoldenDict, the configuration directory.

I have set up my files with the early release version this way:

A) C:\#MyGoldenDict
B) C:\#MyGoldenDictionaries

I know that I can set up the executable GoldenDict files (main folder) elsewhere, but anywhere I run it from, it will overwrite the config folder... :S

Any ideas?

Just create folder "portable" in GoldenDict folder. GD will store all own profiles in it.
