how to make goldendict comes top on applications in start panel in windows 8. for example I installed new York times news paper in
start panel in windows 8 when I copy a word the goldendict works in the background but I need it to be on the top of this newspaper to read translation. by the way, scan popup does not work, but after copying a word it works. how to enable the feature of "on the top of other application " since there is no command in the menu of the dictionary?
regards

I'm not yet fully understand your issue, how typical of me ;). So you wish the scan pop-up to be on top? Or the main GoldenDict window to be on top?

If you are talking about the scan pop-up, it should be on top by default.

If you are talking about the main window, I've added option "Menu->View->Always on Top" recently. You can get the freshly built version of GoldenDict with this feature here: viewtopic.php?p=8784#p8784

Let me know if this resolves your issue.

P.S. I'm not sure about Windows 8 though. Personally, I haven't yet switched to Win8 and haven't tested GoldenDict there.

Thank you. yes the scan popup window is on the top of the ordniary Applications even in Windows 8 but I am talking about those Applications in New start menu in Windows 8 like newspapers. the scan popup window works behind these newspapers. To see translation in the popup scan window, one must leave newspapers window and go back to the desktop. I hope the issue becomes clear now.

safer, got it. So this is Windows8-specific indeed.
