Help a newbie with websites?

Hi. I have been trying to get GoldenDict to look up words via websites.
For example, I go to a Babylon site and look up "cargar".
Then I copy the web page which reads: http://www.babylon.com/definition/cargar/English
Then I replace "cargar" in the string with "%GDWORD" so that it now reads
http://www.babylon.com/definition/%GDWORD/English

The result when I look for a word in GoldenDict is that Babylon looks up "%GDWORD" and finds nothing!

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Do I need to experiment with the suggested strings other than %GDWORD?

I have been trying the same or similar methods for other sites: GoldenDict usually opens the site for me, but the search box is always empty.

Thanks in advance.

There should be a second '%' at the end: %GDWORD%

Please bear in mind that not all web-based dictionaries are supported. Some sites do various tricks and break things.
