problem with audio

Postby farhadi » Fri Jan 01, 2010 11:04 pm

Hi,

I'm using a dsl dictionary with its pronunciation audio files.
In the definition window when I click on speaker icon there is no sound and no error.

I tried to play one of wave files using mplayer in terminal. mplayer failed with the following output:
Code: Select all
ali@farhadi-pc:~$ mplayer abacus_GGN_R1_OA000130.wav

I don't know where is the problem?
Is it an issue with mplayer or some missing libraries?
Or an issue with the file format, though totem plays the same file fine.

Looks like an issue with your mplayer installation. Try another player.
