Self-contained (portable) Linux Version

probono over at http://portablelinuxapps.org/ created a self-contained, no install (portable) Linux version of release 0.90.
This file was tested to work on Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) 32-bit, OpenSUSE 11.3 (GNOME) 32-bit , and Fedora 12 (GNOME) 32-bit without installation.

0.90 is extremely old. Since then, Golden Dict has improved significantly.

You should take the source from git. http://gitorious.org/goldendict

The program is now portable from the get-go.
