Postby YZMSQ » Thu Oct 07, 2010 10:25 am

Hi,there:
I'm a goldendict fan with version 0.9.0-163-g5136c09-dirty on Archlinux, and have succeed in importing some BGL and stardict dicts before.Wile I failed to import a BGL file from babylon website(http://dl.babylon.com/info/glossaries/D842/French_Chinese_GBK.BGL) to goldendict just now------It freezed at that period! So I had to xkill it without other choices.I tried several times after that, but still in vain.So what should I do?Did I do anything wrong?Waiting for your help, please.Thank you.

For the record, the dictionary works fine here, on Windows, GoldenDict 0.9.0-167-g7b5d360.

Do you have enough disk space at your homedir (df -h ~)?

Hi,there's still 56G clean(I just have / and swap,no other partion ;) ).What's more, importing other dicts is very easy and successful,so I just wonder if the dicts make the differences. :?:

Code: Select all
[justin@YZMSQ ~]$ df -h ~
文件系统         容量  已用  可用 已用%% 挂载点
/dev/disk/by-uuid/e9e08fc8-a374-4b1e-a42c-6fa5a9a33c52
                       72G   13G   56G  19% /

i used to assume i had this problem. i was wrong. it was not a GD bug. i was just unfamiliar with the 'rescan' feature. did you put it in another folder and do a rescan one more time. :?:
