Some days it happens as follows: whenever I am looking for the translation (in italian) of an English word, the correct translation appears on the screen, but after 1 seconds a Russian-language screen replaces the previous screen ... It has become impossible to use the program.
What does it depend on?

Weird, please post some screenshots.

Do you have any Russian dictionary configured on "Edit > Dictionaries > Sources > Website" by chance? If so, try to disable it and try again.
Just some idea: some webpages don't allow to be loaded inside an HTML iframe (as GoldenDict does, to be able to mash up content from different online dictionaries) and they use framebuster techniques (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Framekiller) to reload their own page outside of the frame).

The problem you're having is the one I mentioned above. This is the web dictionary you have configured and should disable: http://www.multitran.ru/c/m.exe?CL=1&s=Word&l1=1
