In portable version
You must srelect the word to make popup work
selct word
and press cntrl+c

popup will work

I can translate a word in the scan popup without selecting the word. I press Ctrl + Alt. It's configured in Preferences > Scan Popup > 'Only show popup when all selected keys are kept pressed'.
It just doesn't work in Web Browser (except Internet Explorer where it works) but does a well-known issue: https://github.com/goldendict/goldendict/issues/29

but it doesn't work at all with any program except with selecting the word !

I guess you are using the last early access build. It comes with the last scanpopup hotkey DLL. Which version of windows you have? Have you checked Goldendict preferences as I described in previous post? You don't have by chance some security program such as an antivirus or some sort of sandboxing soft that might be interfering with hotkeys?

no I have no antivirus !!
but i have Verbace dictionary

Well, it's obvious there is something wrong with your configuration. You can try to create a 'portable' folder inside the Early Access build version so to create the configuration files inside that folder. This way you isolate both GoldenDict versions one from the other.
