Can I lookup up a word using a specific protocol or service if I have a goldendict opened and running?
I want my web application to be able to lookup a word from goldendict, is it possible?

At least on Windows, when you invoke goldendict.exe with a single parameter (which is a word you'd like to lookup) a new window with translation pops up.

is there an easy way to use goldendict as dictionary server? I want to develop some tools on top of goldendict, I really want to be able to look up using something like:
godendict://lookup:port/word

No that I know of. Although there is a feature request to implement a command line version of GoldenDict: https://github.com/goldendict/goldendict/issues/37
